You can find this fun little park right across the street from Waialae Elementary School. It offers clean restrooms, plenty of sports to play, and a grassy field to enjoy. It can get a bit windy here, so plan accordingly. Several basketball courts are there, along with picnic tables and benches. The views are also quite lovely.
4. Mau’umae Nature Park
When enjoying the Pickled Mangoes lifestyle in Honolulu, this gorgeous park is right up the street from where you’ll stay. Bring plenty of water if you plan to hike the entire region. You can gather in the evening with the neighborhood, enjoy the tire swing someone placed on one of the trees, and enjoy the peace of getting away from this for a while.
5. Leahi Millennium Peace Circle Garden
Although it may take a little effort to reach this tranquil garden on the outskirts of Diamond Head, the work is worth the investment. It’s the perfect destination for a picnic lunch. Several signs are up throughout the space to let you know what the plant life and trees are in the area. Several benches are available for sitting. At the park’s entrance, you’ll see a bronze plaque that offers the opening lines from The New Human Revolution, with seven total monuments bearing the words from the world’s peacemakers.
